How to Be the Content Queen You’ve Always Wanted to Be

Heyyy, future Content Queen! It’s time for you to add a tool to your toolkit. It’s the ability to be “Content Minded.” This means that you always have your content creator hat on. You get used to seeing the opportunity for content in daily activities like assembling client packages, prepping for an event, unboxing a sample for a new product, popping in the drive thru for your first cup of coffee for the day, etc.

Before you get nervous at the idea of always being ‘on’ the content creation ball— let me say this: it doesn’t mean you have to constantly be capturing content. It just means you’re open to the possibility of capturing a moment for later content use, babe!

Here are 5 of my favorite recent examples of being Content Minded:

1 // Donation Drive Pick Up Day

We hosted a donation drive for women’s clothing for the whole month of June to benefit Trusting The Process. When the day came to pick up from our 3 amazing drop off locations I saw the opportunity to record a few time lapses & take a few Boomerangs so I could share them on IG stories.

I did bring my tripod & smartphone rig with me that morning because I knew that the process would go quick and if I didn’t pause for a moment to capture a few visuals then the moment would just pass right on by.

2 // Felt Letter-board Change Up

I always have a fresh letter-board quote for our in-person member events. Part of my prep list for workshops & socials is to change up the quote. Instead of letting this opportunity slip by, I’ll often capture some photos and a time-lapse. It’s easy and makes for great, quick content.

3 // Visiting a Member’s New Location

When I visit a member’s shop, office, or restaurant I always document a piece of the visit. Boomerangs are my best friend, but photos will also be a route I take. It’s a great way to give a peek into my day as well as shout out my wonderful members on our Instagram.

4 // Group Photo

During in person and virtual events, we also capture an image (or Boomerang!) or the group. It’s a great way to be able to keep the good vibes going after the event has ended because then I can tag all those babes on social media and the love continues.

5 // Snap a Selfie

When in doubt, take a selfie!

It’s a fast way to showcase a moment in my day and I always tag relevant accounts, such as if I’m coworking with someone and/or at a location that has an IG account. I love seeing what others are up to and how they’re enjoying their day, so creating the same type of content is a no-brainer.

BONUS TIP:

All of these content examples are evergreen, meaning any of the photos, time-lapse, and Boomerang examples can be shared again & again. Being Content Minded helps me stay mindful of how great my job is and it also saves time because my content library keeps growing. You deserve to have the same experience, babe. Give it a go!

Let me know how your new adventures being Content Minded go! Would love to hear about how you’re doing.

Feel free to ask any questions or leave your thoughts in the comments below. Stay boss! xx -Gina
