“Haro! Got featured by pitching myself like you recommended in the BabeCrafted guide. Got me exposure on LinkedIn. Additionally, got featured on Brandi's podcast in our group that got a ton of engagement.”

“In 2018, my photos were published in an article about a decorative painter in South Magazine. I worked consistently with this decorative painting company for a year and a half leading up to the feature. Though at the time, my photos were also being being published monthly on the cover of a local neighborhood magazine, this feature was important for a couple of different reasons. When I started working with the decorative painter, I had no interior photography experience. My work grew leaps and bounds from the time I started working with this company, to seeing some of the best interior images I have taken being published in the article in a regional magazine. It reminds me how far I've come in my career and my work.”

“I was interviewed while living in LA to be part of Voyage LA "local inspiring stories". They reached out to me because they wanted to feature women who were making a difference in the community. While in LA I regularly cut hair for the homeless and also started a meetup group for hairstylists to connect and share knowledge. I believe integrating myself into the community by giving back helped me to get recognized.”

“My best (and only real) PR was when I was featured on WFLA news radio for a project I created called #getmyguardian. I was trying to find a way to promote my law firm without looking like some sleazeball throwing ads out there but I also knew that in order to speak from my heart, I had to create a passion project and community service event. That way my authenticity would come through. So I started brainstorming what I really wanted, what was meaningful to me. And the only thing that kept making me cry...thinking of my role as mother and wanting to help others in that same role. So how do I get it out there?

I created a project, scheduled an event and I then emailed (with a lot of passion) a person I knew was on the radio. He wrote back YESS! and we set a date, and I appeared for the radio show. Was I nervous? Yep...I had to do lots of things to calm my nerves and get ready for it. But I did it, it went very well, and now I have some media to refer to on my page along with credibility that goes along with it. It's OK to push yourself to do scary things!”
