6 Women Generating Leads for their Business that Convert

Why hello there! Ready to jump into some leads talk? Good! No intimidation necessary. Generating leads is something all business owners can do and get very good at. The first rule of entrepreneurship is tell yourself you belong at the table. So say it with me; “I belong at the table.”

The next step is to come to terms with the fact that any & all business has a sales component. Does that mean you have to be slimy and always be closing? No, not at all! But you do have to be well-versed on what you do & why you do it so you can communicate to your ideal client why she should hire you or purchase your product.

So after you’ve boosted your confidence & come to terms, comes the fun part. There are lots of ways to generate leads, and finding out the best way for your business is going to take some earnest experimenting. Take it from these 6 women (including me!) on how they generate quality leads that convert and then try some of their methods yourself. We’re cheering you on every step of the way! -Gina

“The best way I've been able to generate quality leads is through relationships. The more I focus on building my community online and connecting with like-minded women, I've been able to earn leads from my socials and referrals. The relationships you build in real life and online really can covert when they're created from a sincere place, without the intention to sell.”

“Honestly, through Babe Crafted! What some of my clients know, is that Babe Crafted helped me generate leads way before I even joined. Being a subscriber to her newsletter for about 1 year or so, I acquired leads that turned into clients by scouting job listings from the newsletter section each month! Anything that resembled what I think I could do, I would email the person behind the listing and start a conversation! So the number one way I generate quality leads? Newsletters then sliding into lead's inboxes. Nowadays? Meeting leads in person at events and sliding into DM's on Instagram!”

“I track my “pipeline” very closely and can keep track of trends on where my leads come from. I attend a lot of networking events, so I want to be sure that I am using my time as wisely as possible and not repeating activities that never convert into actual business. And I do source some leads from networking, but the overwhelming majority of quality leads come from our current clients referring their family, friends, and colleagues to our practice. That’s a great compliment, and also a great responsibility! We strive to continually provide the best client experience possible, so that our clients always feel they are taken care of and appreciated, and will continue to feel comfortable referring us.”

“I’m super lucky to have women find us on Instagram and through other wonderful members as referrals, but in addition to leads coming to me organically, I pitch on the regular, babe.

I am no stranger to sending a personalized email with a fun gif at the end to say ‘hey, girl. I see you and I want to better understand your goals & get to know you to see if we’re a good fit. Let’s chat!” I come across women on social media and at events that are creating exciting businesses and who have kind hearts, a fun spirit, & an ambitious soul. When this happens I know I’ve gotta reach out. I send an email with a link to my calendar to hop on a call and I use the call as an opportunity to truly get to know her. I’d say for every 30 emails I send, 6 to 8 end up joining our membership.

Not everyone I think is a good fit for us actually is, and that’s okay. But for the women who I’m say ‘hey’ to, for many of them it’s the right timing for them in their journey & we have what they’re looking for.”

"I generate new clients through one social media platform, Instagram. Using Instagram stories is more personal. I post my work life on a daily basis.

When I post I always put reminders on there with whichever promo I have for that month. It has worked tremendously. When a new client books, at their appointment we have a one-on-one consultation before we get started. Doing so will help to know what type of lash style she would want by understanding her daily routine. After a client’s visit I also always check on them to see how they are doing with their lashes. Doing these things has helped to keep and grow my clientele.”

“For me, its all about referrals. a lot of my success comes from taking great care of my clients so they then refer me out. I enjoy this time of lead generation because it doesn't feel "forced" and its truly genuine. I feel like they know I will take care of them and we built that trust right away.”
