Boss Moms Chat & Pop Up at Kendra Scott (Photos & Video!)

We came, we sipped, we raised funds for The Centre For Girls!

Babe Crafted is a business development club for women in Tampa Bay and we have 84 amazing members. While our monthly workshops are geared towards members, we do host quarterly community events that are open to non-members to foster community by connecting likeminded women & spotlighting a local non-profit.

This pop up was one of those fab community events & it was a special one! We partnered with Kendra Scott for the 3rd time and we added a panel chat with 4 business owners & boss moms to celebrate Mother's Day week.

Our boss moms were: Brooke Eversoll of Bee Studios Design, Jessy Furniel of Adélie, Kristen Hansen of Flawless Fêtes, and Christina Maldonado of Boudoir Tampa.

These gorgeous photos are by Christina Jones of Christina Jones Photography.

Watch & listen to the panel chat! We streamed the chat on Facebook Live so we could showcase the wonderful insight & humor from our 4 panelists. Take a peek!

Meet Sartura Shuman-Smith! She’s the Director of Programming at The Centre For Girls and came out to introduce herself & share about the education & confidence-building they do for girls in our community.

There are so many ways to get involved, and one of them is by donating snacks for their summer camp. Funding was recently cut and many non-profits like The Centre For Girls and even the Girls & Boys Club will be affected when it comes to providing meals & snacks for children this summer.

You can drop off non-perishable snacks and breakfast/lunch items at their Seminole Heights location, donate funds on their website, or even mail a Sam’s Club, Publix, etc. gift card to them to help! Their address is 105 W Sligh Ave, Tampa, FL 33604 and their phone number is (813) 231-3404.

We decided a casual but relevant panel chat would be a great fit for this event. With Mother’s Day coming up & our girl gang being full of amazing moms, it was the perfect fit. We even had several women in the room who were about to become mothers. It was a special opportunity to be able to ask questions on topics like:

*Expectations vs. reality

*Who they lean on for support

*What they hope their children takeaway from seeing their moms build businesses

The journey of motherhood and entrepreneurship have a lot in common, and taking them both on takes courage, passion, & lots of support from family and friends.

We take being a part of our members’ journey very seriously and are always finding ways to highlight them & showcase their story in a unique & fun way. Hosting this panel was one way we could highlight these wonderful women & their business (in an authentic way!).

What worked for your mom or grandma might not work for you. You have to find your own rhythm.

I make it a point to take quarterly vacations with my family. Cruises, specifically. It’s the way that I reward myself for hard work and keep my family close.

It’s been so much more rewarding than I ever thought it could be.
