Key Takeaways from Moms Night In:

Amy Braswell of PaperFinch Design:

“Curate your mom group and then lean on them.”

“You’ve got to pick your battles sometimes - if your child wants to go out dressed as a unicorn, let them win that battle. They don’t get to win a lot.”

Bree Swezey of Authentic Edge Design:

“Involving your kids in your work & business will help ease mom guilt and they’ll even celebrate your wins (and keep you accountable).”

Danielle Bayard Jackson of TELL Public Relations & Give It A Rest Movement:

“Mom guilt is real.”

“To be able to hear stories from moms about what motherhood is really like is so helpful. There’s an intersection between ‘business’ and ‘being a mom’. It’s nice to have intentional conversation about that intersectionality.”

Erika Holmes, Copywriter & Content Strategist:

“I think that through this quarantine, I have learned what is ESSENTIAL in my biz and what is not.”

Elena VansEvers of Urban Zen Bodywork:

“I want my son to see that a woman can be strong and can run her own business. Him seeing his dad support his mom is really important.”

Jade Timmerman of Jade N. Timmerman Interiors:

“Get comfortable with the kind of mom you are. Don’t try to be someone else’s version of what a ‘good mom’ is. Be transparent and yourself."

“Take the pressure off of yourself to be perfect.”

Nelani Palomino of 11th Owl:

“I realized early on that I don’t have to take everyone’s advice. Their lifestyle is different and might not work for me. I tried be the ‘best mom’ in the beginning, but I have found what that actually means for me.”

"Be grateful for the wins.”
